Human development and its role in developing competitiveness of Arab countries for sustainable development

Abstract

Countries around the world are interested in developing their human resources to secure sustainable development to ensure their present and future needs are met. Countries usually keep pace with global competitiveness and follow the recent developments of competitiveness. This research aims to study the role of human resources in developing the competitiveness of Arab countriesfor sustainable development. The primary objective of this research was to identify the base points of human development and their role in developing the competitiveness of Arab countries This research attempted to address its objectives using a descriptive-analytical approach.Results indicate that the development and investment of human resources is a prerequisite for developing the competitiveness of Arab countries Moreover, what these countries have achieved at the level of human development corresponds and consistent with the level of competitiveness they have achieved and are linked to a high degree.
