Today, corruption has become a global phenomenon, affecting all countries, although at varying degrees, as well as institutions at the international level.Therefore, the countries have concluded many regional and international agreements that aim to limit and combat the phenomenon of corruption.The United Nations Convention against Corruption is the most important international element in combating corruption due to its mandatory and comprehensive nature, as well as the fact that it implemented effective mechanisms to follow up on the excision of judgments.It appeared necessary
for states to reconsider redrafting their legislation, so that it would be applicable to combat this crime and prosecute its perpetrators. The international community has established international organizations and financial institutions, it has moreover played a prominent role in combating corruption, including International Transparency Organization, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the World Bank and the International MonetaryFund.
