This research paper highlights the approach of Business Process Reengineering (BPR) as one of the modern methods of contemporary managerial strategy adopted in the United States, Europe and the rest of the western world at the end of the last century and the beginning of the 21st century. This adoption had a positive impact on the success of many production and service institutions in achieving their vision and mission and strategic objectives which improved the quality of its performance. A number of elements were investigated including: BPR’s administrative processes in terms of their concept and definition, basic objectives and general principles, the characteristics and benefits expected to be obtained. The determinants leading to the failure with the mechanism factors that are critical to BPR’s success were also investigated in order to enhance the sustainable development worldwide.
