Modern linguistic research opens new horizons which are not limited to the standard language, but is extended to Arabic dialects such as the Libyan dialect. As long as it has pragmatic purposes and connotations that convey meaning and deliver its intended message, dialects form the focus of pragmatic studies. Dialects enable contact and communication between the parties of the communication process. Pragmatics is concerned with the intended meaning within the context of the poetic text, specifically the used meaning that appears through the examination of the linguistic utterance. Therefore, this paper is an attempt to combine the words of the Libyan dialect with pragmatic deictics, their concepts, and their methodological dimensions.
