The Effectiveness of Input-based and Output-based Teaching on the Development of Grammatical Accuracy
Keywords:

This study investigated the effectiveness of input-based and output-based teaching approaches on the development of grammatical accuracy in foreign language learning. The study involved 50 EFL students studying English as a foreign language at a university in a non-English speaking country. The participants were randomly assigned to two groups: one group received input-based teaching, and the other group received output-based teaching. The results showed that both input-based and output-based teaching approaches were effective for the development of grammatical accuracy. However, the output-based teaching approach showed a greater improvement in grammatical accuracy, particularly for learners with lower proficiency levels. The findings highlight the importance of integrating both input-based and output-based teaching approaches in language teaching practices to enhance grammatical accuracy development
