This study clarifies the concept of family from the perspective of Islamic Shariah (law) among ancient and contemporary Fageihs (jurists). This is to develop a future vision to ensure the continuation of family relations in the Libyan society. The researcher set some preventive measures to avoid the occurrence of family problems and disputes in the future, and suggested some remedial methods either those established by Islamic Shariah (law) or those developed by the researcher. These measures can create kindness and love between spouses. This is due to the belief that the family is the first channel through which a person’s features, qualities, behaviors, and ideas and attitudes are formed. The study problem answered all the questions raised by the researcher through the studies and the demands of the study. The most important findings of the study are that the concept of the family includes all what is related to marriage, reproduction and raising children. Moreover, there are social, religious, health and economic reasons that call for the formation of a family. One of the most important goals of family formation is to maintain the continuity of human life through reproduction and procreation within legal marriage. It is recommended that protecting the family and saving it from disintegration and destruction is a legal duty for every Muslim.
