‘How Many’-between Composition and Statement

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the origin of the word ‘How Many’ as it has been linked with many different original connotations. This can be explained by considering ‘how many’ as a shared verbal pronunciation not as the one with an origin and a branch. The inductive and analytical approaches were used in this study and some results including; a)-the question word ‘how many’ is the origin of the word ‘how many’ which indicates multiplicity; b)-the previous views which distinguished between them do not have a strong foundation. It is all about expanding the language within the context of constructions and their multiple meanings.
