Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify the effect of a systematic sport in regulating blood sugar for patients with diabetes type 2 (NIDDM) at ages (38 - 48) years. It also aims to identify the effect of this program on some physiological variables -hemoglobin and fatty proteins, including cholesterol and Bio-capacity, residual functional capacity, oral capacity, total resonance capacity, hemoglobin and blood viscosity. The experimental method involving a controlled and a treatment group was used as it suits the nature of the study. The sample consisted from 18 patients who were affected with diabetes type 2. After conducting medical, biological and physiological examinations, the affected with hypertension, atherosclerosis, angina, smokers were excluded. The final sample consisted of 9 participants randomly divided into two experimental (5) and control group (4) and were exposed to some clinical and lab tests. The results revealed that the sport program was effective and positive in regulating sugar and insulin and in reducing the level of each of the variables (cholesterol, accumulated sugar). This is an evidence of the ability of the body to recover from high blood sugar and to increase the efficiency of vital functions. This emphasized the need for following the sport programme with the treatment for achieving better results. Based on the findings of the study, it is recommended that patients with diabetes types 2 who are aged between 38-48 should practice the sport programme during the treatment period and to follow the scientific methods when practicing exercises and to consider the nature of the sample, injury or the disease. It is also important to carry out medical checkups periodically to maintain good public health.
