Abstract

This research studies the tourism investment in Libya and investigates the obstacles and legislations of its laws. This research was divided into two main sections. Firstly, the tourism investment in Libya and its general concept, types, importance and objectives. Secondly, the obstacles and legislation laws on tourism investment domestically and internationally. Since ancient times, some countries have issued a number of laws, legislations and regulations for promoting tourism and activating investment operations in various fields within the public and private sectors to develop the infrastructure and the industrial and service sectors in these countries to achieve economic development. However, despite issuing all these laws, legislation and regulations for investment promotion, the process of economic development has been reversed in some countries. Nevertheless, some large countries have the potential to be targeted for tourism investments. Generally, tourism investment aims to achieve economic and social development.
