Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out the effect of a proposed mental training program in reducing the anxiety of the sports match among the handball players. The research community represented in the players of the regional clubs - Constantine - for the handball (males, seniors) of the 2017-2018 handball season. The total number of sample was (40 males), which constitutes (20.30%) of the research community (197) players. This sample was randomly selected. The experimental group was divided into two equal and heterogeneous groups. The control group included the players of the Tunisian Sports Club (males, seniors), and after the application of the proposed mental training program on the experimental group (12) week, was conducted measurements and tests, and using the appropriate statistical means, and through the results obtained, the researchers reached: The effectiveness of the proposed mental training program in reducing the level of anxiety of the sport match with handball players.
