This study discusses speculation as one of the financial transactions between people, especially merchants. There is no doubt that speculation has Sharia provisions in Islam that must be adhered in any transaction. Therefore, this paper explains the concept of speculation linguistically and terminologically, the evidence of its legitimacy from the Qur’an and the Sunnah , and its legal rulings which must be taken into account when dealing with it. This paper also explains the mistakes that many people make today, either due to ignorance or intentionally and highlights the correct way of this transaction. Then, the forms of speculation in which Islamic banks deal have been mentioned , as it is one of the forms of financing in Islamic banks. The discussion concludes with some of the Sharia regulations that control each form of speculation to make banking transactions following Sharia so that people are secure and become sure that their gains are lawful.
